Taking Macro Shots with an Old Cellphone Camera

I can afford buying plants every month because i don't spend much on "other" things. I was contemplating on purchasing a good camera so i can take macro shots but i already have a cellphone(Nokia N80 w/ 3 megapixels camera). However it couldn't take shit on close up views but i found a leeway to this shortcoming.

Use a small magnifying glass! Like the one in the swiss army knife:

Basically just stick the magnifying glass close to the camera lens and picture away!!!

These are my first shot attempts of Kratom.

1 inch seedling - without lens

with "corrective" magnifying lens

Dan, you're a genius! I've been wanting to take fairly close up pictures for so long, and often run into difficulty (newer cameras are good, but still fail to some degree).

I will definitely try this out some day.

I still have no idea what the strain is. I emailed the vendor again and i still haven't gotten a reply.
The first picture is about 3 months old? I've lost track... I should have documented them but i was just happy to get them to grow
The 2nd pic is a month old and the 3rd pic is about a few days old. I just saw it on Sunday.

I just chose Kratom as an example because the sprouts are the smallest in my collection.

Thanks! Actually i saw a guide on how to take macro shots using cellphone cameras but the author used the lens of a dvd player. I noticed that the lens looked a lot like a magnifying glass so i tried it. And viola! Impressive looking photos I can even see my fingerprint using this method!

1. Slow and steady breathing means steady hand
2. Good light source
3. NO FLASH!
