The Federal Government In Canada Is Attempting To Ban Salvia Divinorum

The Canadian federal government is planning to add the Salvia Divinorum to Canada’s list of banned substances. The change would make it illegal to sell, grow, or possess Salvia Divinorum, which is currently sold in Canadian head shops.

The effects of smoking salvia include a brief and sometimes intense 5-10 minute high that may include hallucinations.

St. Boniface MP Shelly Glover said at a press conference on Tuesday. “We are very worried about the long-term effects.”

Salvia Divinorum has never killed anyone. No one has ever Over Dosed on this sacred herb used by the mazatec Indians. The use of Salvia Divinorum has been dated back for thousands of years for its abilities to connect one with there spiritual path. Salvia Divinorum is one of the Aztec sacred plants.

Like all Sacred plants Salvia Divinorum should be respected. We all know that making Salvia Divinorum illegal will not stop anyone from acquiring this herb but in return will only allow for the higher prohibition prices to take affect as we have noticed with alcohol prohibition in the paste.

Salvia Divinorum is not something that people like to try more than once or twice. Most people try it and see that its not that big of a deal. Salvia is not FUN it is not habit forming its not even addictive.

Making Salvia Divinorum Illegal will just give drug dealers a new product to push. With Salvia Divinorum being legal the price is really low in fact its so low that most people would not even attempt to sell it because there is hardly any money in it.

Salvia Divinorum is not as popular as it once ways years ago. Now days Salvia has lost most of its hype. People may still feel the need to experience new things but thats not going to change if Canada makes this plant illegal.

Ok. Lets say Canada Does make Salvia Divinorum Illegal. How are Canadian police going to be able to tell if someone is growing Salvia Divinorum or the other 900 varieties of sage. Think of the cost (Tax Money) to even attempt to ban this plant. It is really just ridiculous to even think for one minute we have the resources or ability to ban Salvia Divinorum.

Salvia Divinorum has to many look a likes in the Mint family. Police would be arresting people all the time for growing regular garden sage Wasting lots of time and tax money that could of been used for something productive.

Drug dealers would find out that Salvia is still in demand and would then extract Salvia and spray it onto other herbs just as they do with K2 smoke blends.

Lets face it. We can not successfully ban Salvia Divinorum making this plant illegal will only cause harm and more violence in the drug world giving extra money to drug dealers so that they may buy more guns. NO THANKS.

Worried about your kids smoking Salvia? Try educating them about the effects of Salvia Divinorum or would you rather them be thrown in jail for trying Salvia Divinorum?
